Technical issues with OJS - Electronic Journal of Communication

Dear Contributors, Editors, Reviewers and Friends of the Electronic Journal of Communication,

We at the journal would like to notify you that there have been some technical issues with our online Open Journal Systems (OJS) submission and review management system. This resulted in a temporary outage earlier this week. We are working to sort out the issues but, for now, operations are proceeding normally.

While we work to diagnose and fix the issues, please exercise extra care in your interactions with the system, such as backing up materials on the system (such as manuscripts assigned for review) and communications where possible. Also, please bring to our attention any difficulties you may encounter by e-mailing the managing editor at snm11@psu.edu

While we have no indication that there is anything other than aging hardware to blame, please also report anything that appears out of place or suspicious.

Since I have your attention, I would also like to point out that we have an ongoing issue with e-mail addresses originating with gmail and its associated services. We therefore strongly recommend using your academic e-mail accounts where possible in registration and communication with and via the OJS.
